Al,
>Superficially it looks like the Windows Scripting Host (WSH) has not been installed on that machine. It was not a native part of Windows 95.
It's an optional component of Win98, but not 95. You're confusing the WSH with the Shell.Application object, however. They're separate entities. The WSH can be installed directly from the installation program available from MS (it's freely re-distributable). The Shell.Application, however, is a different story for Win95. It was a part of the IE 4.01 installation (but not IE 5.0 and above) if the ActiveDesktop option was selected. A Win95 box that hasn't had IE 4.01 installed with this option on it, but 5.0 won't have it. It's a real PITA to get it installed under these circumstances.
