Jim,
You didn't say what the laptop is used for now. I assume you and the boss each have a desktop machine in your office and you take the laptop when you go onsite?
With a docking station and large monitor and regular keyboard, the laptop becomes both the desktop and travel machines, and there's no need to copy files back and forth.
Give the existing desktop to someone else who needs a better machine.
Why use NT when there's W2000 and Windows XP coming out soon? ;-)
>I need to write a "narrative" to my supervisor’s boss explaining why I need a laptop computer to use developing VFP applications. I am using one now but it is a "shared" resource with my supervisor. It’s not working as well as you might hope.<g> What are the advantages of developing on a laptop that I could express?
