There should be an easy way but I don't know and search it in related .h file (for WM_* winuser.h)

>I don't know their relation well. SendMessage with WM_DESTROY works w/o any error and dialog to save. That error however sounds to come from VFP side. Maybe you're getting it with word windows ? Word is somewhat special in window and process handling. Multipl word launches all point to the same processid. First launched somewhat behave like a parent of others and hwnd is not released till all childs are closed (FindWindow would still find it with class OpusApp but with an empty windowtitle). I'm not sure about it but might be the reason and destroying it last might cure.
