I have the following situation: I have a updatable view which contains approprimately 22,000 records which I want to update several of the fields. I query the view and then scan thru the entire view replacing the value in the fields I need to update. After I have replace all the fields for the entire view I then issue a tableupdate within a transaction for the entire view. It seems to just hang forever when I try this method. Am I better off scan thru the view replacing the fields plus updating other tables and then issuing a table update within a transaction for the view and other tables I have update.
