Tell your boss he needs NT 4 or Win95 now so you can 'settle in' for when VFP 5 is released. Sounds good anyway... (g)

>>Alright, don't go ballistic on me but...

>>VFP 5.0 is supposed to be able to be used as an OLE server! Not only that but it will support ActiveX objects. The bad news is you have 2 or 3 months to wait!

>Well I guess I can hold out that long. Such hope, like I got a choice! Once again thought thanks for the info, I might have spent another 3 weeks whipping a dead foxpro. Just like Microsoft, I buy a product, order the update so what was in the box will work and then find out that what you'd like to do can't be done.

>Oh well, hope the weather's nice in Florida. Makes for writing better applications and sure beats this Texas Heat.

>Side Note: The owners want move to Win95 or NT or VFP until I show some reason(s) to. Their pet pev is (1) OS and an application that doesn't require the purchase of 3rd party add-ons or additional software. They never were happy with the FPW and WinFax Pro faxing solution. I thought that Win95, Windows Messaging and VFP with OLE/MAPI - (one OS no 3rd party and no additional software) would satisfy that requirement. If what the MS Rep said had been true it would have.

>It's also rumored that you can achieve the result I desire with VB and OLE/MAPI. Wonder it that's true?

>Once Again Thanks!
