The original statement was that we need a large runtime file in order to make macros works. In order to make eval work I bet you'd still need a pretty large runtime file, although naturally it would be smaller.

I wonder if we were able to notify the compiler that we are not going to use macros or eval, could truly smaller exe's be created with minimal runtimes? (Something that fits in a disktte, say).

Does anybody hear know ?
