Charles,

I have read all of the various threads but I can tell you that I am using PCA9.0 (now 10.0) with a Linksys router on a DSL connection with a Linksys DSL Router that allows the one port to look out. The address you configure PCA with when you connect is the public address of the router on the internet. Eventhough the actual listening station is on a local network, it sees if PCA is listening and it connects you to that station. If you want to look at another station and PCA is up on that station, you simply log onto the first station, go in the browser to configure the Linksys switch and tell it that you want it to listen to another address. After entering that address, you remotely reboot the station you are on, go into PCA on the same public address and the traffic is rerouted to the new station. Put in more succinct terms, here is how.

Public address 207.211.135.17
LAN Network Station 192.168.1.100

DMZ on Linksys router says to let incoming traffic go to 192.168.1.100.

The offsite PCA comes in on 207.211.135.17 with 192.168.0.100 listening. You get on. You decide that you need to work on 192.168.0.105 (which also already has PCA listening). While on the .100 station, you go into the browser and dial in the address of the Linksys Router (usually 192.168.1.1). You set DMZ address (in advanced settings) to 192.168.0.105. You save the settings and reboot the machine you are dialed in on. When you disconnect, reconnect and you will be on the .105 station. Of course if someone is onsite and needs to let you in, they can change the address in the browser without you having to go on first. This setup is presently working in two sites. I did see however that some people are doubling VNC shareware with PCA. I agree and in fact do that on one or two fallback stations in case PCA does not connect.

HTH,
