I've got users (including their "IS Staff") that have no clue about the configuration of their systems. So more and more I put in a "system configuration report" that tells about processor, memory, cpu speed. Funny how the IS staff position changes about speed being a programing problem when their machines turn out to be 486's with 16 megs, when our specs that we support are pent II 266 with 64 megs.
It's not something I pursue real hard, but it helps to make a point the more I know about a users system. We do all our support and mainteance over a pcAnywhere connection.
