Yes I can give you some information about the combobox. It is drop on a form and the controlsource properties is set to table.fieldname. The leftside of the combobox box I was refering to the text box of the combobox the right side would be the drop down. I tried to make it to simple of a description I am sorry about that, Any how the next thing I do build and run I did not setup any other properities. The problem has something to do with the fact the combobox thinks it work with some kind of numeric data because full data A - Z a z no problem. As soon as I use 01, 02, 03, 04, .. 09 problem occurs. I hope this describe the problem a little better.

P.S. Do I write the replay before the message or after the message I am new to the universalthread forum.

>> Can someone help me on a problem I have observed with the combobox under fox pro 5.0a. The problem might not be a problem but I need some in sight into what I have observed. When useing a combobox and the record contains data defined as character type field but the data is 01, 02, 03, 04, 09 when you look at the records on the left side of the combobox the records go blank after the first couple of records. I am trying to see if it just happens to me or does anyone might know what is happening. Is it a microsoft known bug or not. How can I get around the problem I know not everone who uses combobox in their limits their data set to be charactor based only.
