Brenda,

Opinions may differ here, but for a lot of us, "best practice" is to use the Windows default colors and fonts, and let the user choose what suits him or her. Specifically, mine come up with "Windows Colors (Default)" for controls, and "Windows Control Panel (3D Colors)" for the form itself.

That way users with low vision or colorblindness can use your application, and you'll be "cool" with the Americans with Disabilities Act."

There are whole books about this, and some resources in the MSDN Library and elsewhere at Microsoft.

>I am a little confused about the best ColorSource to choose. I have a main form, with a toolbar, with a pageframe. Most of the pages of the pageframe have a container and has textboxes, grids, combos, lists, etc. There are also about 40 modal forms. What is the best practice for ColorSource of the various controls? Some guide lines would be helpful.
