Hi Tom,

The odds of getting any number of developers to individually contact Microsoft seem a whole lot longer than the odds of getting that many to simply add their signatures to a single open letter. What's more, the impact of a single open letter with a given number of signatures would be a whole lot greater, more unambiguous, and lot harder to ignore than the same number of separate private communiques. It's like comparing a laser to a flashlight. I wouldn't want to waste anyone's time, Tom. Is it too much to ask for your vote?
