He's into vb, but hopefully he'll grasp the concepts and general ideas behind the philosophy.
"Converting" him to vfp is probably next in the list, but it'll be hard. He was able to put together apps in VB (don't ask me about quality) right out of the box, while he spent a whole day tinkering with vfp and couldn't get a simple "hello world" working.
