Not trying to tell you to sign or not... Just want to clarify something. IIRC, signing the list indicates that you would _consider_ signing the letter. So all you'd have to do is say you considered it and decided not to. No biggie. :)

That said, I agree that this is getting rather silly. I don't know why they don't just go ahead and write the letter and have us sign it. Seems like it would be much easier that way.
