John,
Have you done any work in db2k? I purchased a copy of db7 a year or so ago, invested a few days in learning how it worked and found it to be very slow on a network, primarily I believe because of the large size of its indexes. Is db2k any different? I remember that db7 seemed to be more object oriented than VFP and the interface was a bit more intuitive but speed is very important.

In the literature they say it will use fox tables but will it use the DBC? I know that I do not want to work with the the database alternatives that are native to Delphi ( and formerly native to db7). Any additional info you have gained would be helpful.
A problem is a problem only as long as it has a possible solution. Lacking that, it becomes a FACT!
