I do think this 'encouragement' has had a negative impact on community. Like you, it's also left a sour taste in my mouth. Let's not waste time on who hasn't signed it and why... Instead, remain positive and focused with the project at hand (for some, it's trying to get MS to market VFP, for others of us, it might be just trying to keep up with the work that we're getting paid to do). MS reads these threads...they know what we're thinking. I can't imagine what they're thinking as they read these "why won't you sign a list to say you'll sign an as-yet-unwritten letter?" threads. I don't think it helps the cause.
