There is a bug when using preference with a browse that has calculated fields in it. It moves the calculated fields on you. You have two choices, either dump the preferenece from the browse command, or make every field a calculated field. You can do the latter by doing this;

BROWSE FIELDS myFld1=Alias.Field1, MyFld2 = Alias.Field2 ...

for the straight fields.
