I have about 10 records and filled all the General fields with images of signatures. The size got about 1MB. Now, I did the following for each 10 fields:

APPEND GENERAL SIGNATURE

and that supposed to clear the contents (all 10 records), which did, but the file size still remains 1MB (as if it was filled)?

And now I am thinking about if I should use LINK (instead of to embedded) to make the size smaller (because we would still save all those copies of JPEG images in the directory). If I use LINK, does that make it slower (I only have 10 records, but when it reaches to 100 or even 500 records...)?
