Thanks. Interesting since FPW 2.6 isn't like that (or is it? been a long time), but now it's back from 1MB to 1KB! I am going to look into LINK right now to see if it's any better. Thanks again.

>Look at the PACK command in the help. It supposed to purge deleted records, but it also packs a memo fields file (.FPT). I guess VFP really do not clean up space after information removed from memo field or truncated. The size of file should be reduced only after you use PACK.
