I use a treeview instead of app menu, and it works, though the GotFocus won't fire per node, it fires on the whole OLE object. I have to use MouseOver event, which involves some coordinates recalculating (dividing or multiplying by 15, don't know why). Didn't figure the details yet, but I did manage to refresh an equivalent of status bar message (just a label at the bottom of the form) in some cases (when it managed to find the correct node). p.s.
