Buy parts and build one.

When we built our first it was an eye-opener for me to finally get inside the box. Of course I sleep with the tech guy < g >, but there were a few things we encountered on the way to getting it running where my guess of which pin to put something on was better than his!

I've already checked out Gateway. Dell's out of the picture because they don't have a line of machines with an Athlon processor (the P4 is not ready for primetime IMO). So the question is this: Do any of you have any recommendations other than these two manufacturers? Any good things to recommend? Any horror stories?
