I thought that the ability you describe would be a nice enhancement for a future version of VFP. Whether or not it's doable is another matter entirely.

You could write a code generator for this and would make matters much easier. Wouldn't be that hard to do. In fact, I think I did one sometime back. I think, however, it got wiped out accidentally so I can't offer it to you.
