You are indeed correct. Christianity has in some cases completely confused this issue. Or is it that some of us Christians are confused? <g> What some Christians call 'Sabbath' was originally called "The Lord's Day' or Sunday, the first day of the week. It represented/represents the concept of 'new life' as understood in the concept of the resurrection and in some pagan interpretations Spring or Easter (Astarte, mother of Simmeramus, etc...) . <g>
