I'd check the registry for the ProgID on both machines; I don't remember which of the fields in the VCX is used to store the CLSID, but I do remember that it stores the CLSID rather than the ProgID when VFP 'installs' an ActiveX control, which is why there are so many problems with things like the common dialogs, where several versions of the control share a common ProgID, and the last one to register is assigned the value.
