>Hi, this is an old thread but I just came across it and I thought I would put my 2 cents into this. I have long ago quit using pcanywhere as a Remote control solution. I found a product call NetOp Remote Control. The problem I had with proxies/routers/firewalls is that you have a difficult time with pcanywhere connecting to pc's that are located behind them unless you hack the registry and change the port # that pcanywhere is going through. With Netop you can tell it to go through a specific port for each machine behind a firewall/proxy/router, then at the router or whatever you can use NAT to direct communication coming through any port to a specific local ip address behind the router. Secondly Netop is much much faster and is less flakey than pcanywhere can be. I hope I've made sense here. -Rick

I am interested also. What about the "speed transfer" function of PCAnywhere. It is really great for transferring directories with large numbers of files where some large files have small changes.
