My development machine has SQL 2000 on it, and I am deploying the database to machines that are running only MSDE. (I am employing no features that are not SQL7 compatible).

I have tried scripting the entire database to a sql file, and running the script on the MSDE box, but I get a bunch of errors ("object does not exist", and all the tables and such end up getting added to the Master database.

I tried detaching the database, making a copy, and Attaching it to the MSDE box doesn't work- I get errors that make me think that the database format is probably different (likely).

What I _have_ been able to do is to script the database, run the script from the Query analyzer on a SQL7 box, detach the database, copy it, and attach it to the MSDE box. But that's a hell of a lot of work. Is there an easier way to do this? I have a feeling that that my first method should have probably worked, but that I possibly screwed up the scripting process. Anyway, any help is appreciated.
