Title:
Installation fails on Windows ME
I am experiencing problems when installing one of my programs on Windows ME.
I include and register all the required files as stated in MS KB Q190869, and it installs and works fine on Win2K, but on ME I get the infamous "Cannot locate the Visual FoxPro Support Library" message.
I have another app that installs fine on ME using VSI, but for several reasons, I do not want to use VSI for this app, among others, because my client requires a danish setup interface, and I can't figure out how to do that in VSI, and another reason is, that I don't like the auto-repair feature in VSI and don't know how to disable it. (In this app it is ok to replace some of the files with some other files with the same name, that are older than the ones installed by VSI, and then we can't have VSI replace them again)
Anyway - I can't figure out what VSI does that's different or more than should be required according to microsoft.
Anybody got any ideas?
