VB is an excellent product?, yes, is full OOP?, no.

:-)

>>>I look forward to hearing your test results with db2k. It really would be nice to have a viable alternative to VFP just in case. I tried Delphi but it did not have enough flexibility for my needs. C++ just intimidates me. VB has been tried and found wanting and I feel Clarion does everything backwards. I am thinking about looking at C# when it is finished but I don't know what database capabilities it will have.

>>I am looking to move away from Microsoft as much as possible. VB sucks and VFP is just not supported. And dont expect C# will be any better than Java. It will be a total mess. There are already much better alternatives.
>>
>>May I suggest you look at Python. It has a very easy yet powerful language (similar to VFP). There is also an IDE under Windows called Pythowin. It also is crossplafrom compatible has COM support and best of all its free. I used it with MySQL as the client/server database engine (also free).
