I've asked the same before (and grunted a lot). There are two issues: If you have a -1 columns grid, supposed to load columns dynamically, when it ge ts the columns, the controls in the cells are inevitably of class Textbox, named Text1 , in Arial etc etc. Now for many other things we may define our defaults, why not he re. Why not have my own column class, and my subclassed textbox as default cell control in a grid? Second isue is clicking. Having the grid columns created dynamically means you don't click anywhere - and, besides, why should I have to click in the form designer either? My approach is to write a builder (or a wizard, why not) to do it for me. So, h ow do I set up different default grid cell controll and header classes? If it's impossi ble (didn't find word "impossible" anywhere in vfoxpro.hlp), what's the best workar ound?
