>I have been attempting to incorporate some controls (ctDEdit, ctDate, and ctToolBor) from DBI Tech's Component ToolBox, but have bee encountering varying problems on different PC's. Win 98 PC's seem to have a problem no matter what (registered with REGSRV32, also downloaded latest MS MFC42.CAB, installed and registered it). On one PC, the ctDate and ctToolBar worked fine, but I had to delete the ctDate.OCX and manually copy it and register it.

Also having problems registering controls on users machines. We ended up shipping vcredist.exe from microsoft. It will update mfc42.dll and msvcrt.dll on users machines. When we install files on users machines Windows will lock one or the other of the above files. If they are not matched (hard to tell because have different version numbers) then can't register controls.

Any way if user can't register we have them run the vcredist and then manually register controls. They will usally still get an error that the control couldn't be registered, but will then work correctly.
