I also tried implementing Microsoft's RTF control, since i needed to give the users the possibility to format parts of a memo field. At design time, it really showed the RTF data the right way, but at runtime, nothing was formatted, it seemed like a normal editbox. Also, i didn't see any special way ( menu ) to format the contents of the control at runtime.
I don't think you need an HTML editor, but rather an HTML editing control. If you find one that mimics the RTF 'should-have-been' behavior, please let me know.
