I build my computers from the ground up. I do this for one reason. I don't want all the stuff that is pre load to clog my trouble shooting. I know how it is set up, I know whats loaded, I know what hardware is on it. My hardware likes;

AMD Processors; Great stuff sings and likes to run.(You choice of Mhz)
ATI RAGE Video cards or a Voodoo card(I run this on my personal Machine)I like APG cards. The set up really easy.
D-LINK Network Cards or Linksys
WD harddrives
US Robotics Modems
