The users of our apps can use any number of Databases. THere is a cDataDir property in our Application object, and we use that in our to make sure we open teh right data.

Since the user gets to choose the path to use a datasource, we need to make sure that the choosen folder really is a datasource, its the datasource for the app we're running, and the data is compatible to the client (you don't want an old client using new data, or a new client trying to reference fields in the old data that doesn't exist). So those are somethings you might wanna think about.
