Thanks for the help. I found the problem. The temp directory that foxpro pointed to is there as far as windows was concerned, but not as far as foxpro was. Don't ask me why. I made a new folder and pointed there and everything is now working.

Thanks again for the suggestion it did point me in the right direction.
