I thought it might be something like that so I did completely close VFP twice and even ran myapp.exe from out side VFP (with messageboxes to show the contents) and still the old config.fpw. BTW - I did the updates to config.fpw in notepad.

Saw a CLEAR PROGRAM in the help files and thought that might do the trick. Still not sure if CLEAR PROGRAM did help because the config.fpw was inconsistent.
