Beside the speed, in term of programmatically, VFP is far more flexible than Access itself.
I'm using both VB and VFP, in term of database manipulation, VFP is better, because VFP has it own built-in database, Whereby, VB has to use DAO or ActiveX Controls to access database, and DAO is quite tedious, it cause more works, but not performance.
