>>However, I keep hearing rumors that VFP is dead and that Microsoft is going to eventually drop it.

>Yeah, I've heard those rumors as well. In fact, I first heard those rumors at Comdex...in 1992, shortly after MSFT bought Fox software. For those who do poorly at math, that was nine years ago. The rumors are nothing new, they don't come from MSFT, and they have no bearing on the future of VFP.

Thanks for that, Mike. I kinda like math myself. Nine years of poor math!! Has it been that long? Do you have any good stuff on Fox job market math? i.e. More/Less Fox-oriented jobs/projects since 1992?

When looking for Fox-oriented employment, should one simply tell prospective IT employers that they are mere rumor mongers because they don't include VFP, aren't informed about it's appropriate uses, or didn't realize (per the latest TechNet wunderkind presentation) that it even still exists? Do you recommend that I dismiss monster.com, JustFoxProJobs.com, Yahoo classifieds, and *all* of my regional head-hunters etc, as rumor mongers as well?

If a tree fell in a forest and struck a VFP programmer, but said programmer could no longer find a VFP job, would it be useless for the programmer to scream in pain?

Maybe I'm drifting into algebra now...
