Dorothy,

>VFP is not dead yet! It will be soon...

What do you base this conclusion on if I may ask?

What language is your primary development language?

How long have you been professionally developing?

What 'kinds' of products have you developed or are you developing?

The reason I ask is that by way of contrast I've been programming with Fox products since around 1986 and I'm busier now than ever. I do think that a developer should ALWAYS do their best to use the best development tool for their specific task, including (but not limited to) VB, Oracle, SQL, C++, FoxPro, ASM, COBOL, etc..

But to just make what strikes me as an entirely gratuitous assertion makes me want to find out if you really know what your qualifications are and whether or not you're just, as they say, talking out of the side of your neck. <g>

As I mentioned, I've never been busier and if I'm able to pull off this next set of development goals I expect to build a totally world class, enterprise class Visual FoxPro-based application that will be used by potentially several tens of thousands of users and several billions of dollars of represented business.

Now, from my pov VFP isn't going away any time soon. And, in this case, VFP is the best suited tool for this job WITHOUT EXCEPTION.

I'd be very interested in your response...
