Now, did I actually say that? < g > No, I haven't. (Hey, that's your job, not mine ;-))

My IDE hard drive lives on a Promise ATA-100 controller on the motherboard, which W2K treats as a "SCSI" drive (custom miniport driver, I guess). IAC write caching is off and disabled for this device, so I can't even test it.

To be honest, on the face of it it doesn't look like it would fix the power-off issue. OTOH, if it helps even one person I figure it's worth spreading the news. It's dated March 29, so not many people may have seen it yet.

Did I see you hint in another thread that the form corruption problem is fixed in VFP7? That implies you have a pretty good handle on what was causing the problem in the first place...
