>>Part of my consulting for 15 years was ballistic forensics and other applications of physics and math to crimes, mostly homicides. I met and worked with too many lawyers - you have to maintain a firm grasp on the difference between night and day, or the meaning of 'is'.

>Homicide? So you must know Noah VanButzel. Best homicide dick I ever met. I think he convicted in every homicide he ever worked except the Patty Webb case. We knew who did it and who ordered it, but could never get the evidence to prove it.

>Noah and I worked together in the '80s when we were both with LPD, before he went crazy and migrated to Saipan. Tom Cassidy used to work for me.

>However, as to the meaning of "is", welll, it depends...
I did work in the Lincoln area about 1995... didn't know Noah. My own conviction record was 100%, except for the one case in which I was hired by the parents to prove their son didn't do a double homicide. I proved he did.
