Hi all,

I have a VFP program and a HTML help(.chm) file.

I want to run it in a PC without VFP installed, I've copied some dll files to the pc and my program runs fine.

Now I have problem in calling HTML files. I have copied foxhhelpps.dll and foxhhelp.exe to the pc and the dll file is also registered. But I still can't call the help, I've spent a lot of time debugging and trying different dll files, finally, I found that I can call the Help file if I run the foxhhelp.exe once before I run my own VFP program.

If I run my VFP program in a pc with VFP installed, the foxhhelp.exe WILL be in memory and the help can be called. But if the pc have no VFP installed, I have to run the foxhhelp.exe myself to make it work... Maybe I ask why? I know it should work if I hardcode the program to run it once before calling helps... but I want to know the reason and hopefully want to solve it with some smarter method...

Please, everyone, if you have any clue on why this happen or how to solve it.. leave me a message and I'll thank you very much!

best regards,
jimi
