Thanks all for the tips. It seems that patience is the key in these matters, and these days it is more of a choice than a natural quality. I didn't put it on the list, but I'm already considering part-time consulting as well. I made an offer to a recruiter (not for the state) the other day to do some work on the side, but I think they want someone on-site. They want to convert at Fox 2.6 app to Client/Server in two months. Doesn't sound realistic to me, but I'm not superman.
