I have been using Visual Studio Installer (VSI). Microsoft has an updated version 1.1 available for download. It has a couple qwirks to work out. You have to edit the install package with orca (also available for download) to enter the shortcut "start In" reference. You have to manually select the files you want to include rather than picking the folder and all files within the folder being selected. But, you only have to do this the first time. When you update files in the install area it will pick them up when you re-create the install set. It does allow you to put shortcuts anywhere or nowhere, put registry entries wherever you want, establish file associations and customize the install interface.
