I'll suggest the way I usually do this. The first thing you gotta have in mind is the printer driver you use. I often use Epson lx-810 or Epson fx-1050 drivers since these have all the fonts needed for a fast dot matrix printing. If you are not using an Epson printer you can easily emulate almost any kind of printer to an Epson. After the printer's drivers are instaled you'll need to set the print quality setting on draft, this is needed to improve printing speed.

The rest is very easy, just tell your reports to use the apropiated fonts and, voila!!!!.

A few more considerations:
Some fonts won't print as expected, so follow this little chart:

Instead of Use
------------------ --------------------------
Draft 10cpi Draft 12cpi
Draft 17cpi Roman 17cpi
Draft 5cpi Roman 5cpi
Draft 17cpi Bold Roman 17cpi Bold
Draft 5cpi Bold Roman 5cpi Bold

Don't know what kind of printer you're using but this method works OK with Epson and Okidata Dot-Matrix Printer wich I usually work with.
I'm a mixture of Albert Einstein and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The only trouble is that I got Einstein's body and Schwarzenegger's brain
