If you have a copy of Visual Foxpro around, you *may* be able to open the table with it. Most of the times I've gotten this error with FPW, it has been due to a mismatch between the record count in the header, and the actual record count. FPW refuses to open such a table, but VFP works. So, if you can open the table in VFP, add & then delete a record to re-set the record count in the header, and then you should be able to open it again in FPW.
