I used to cruise around in my friend's 1973 Firebird (350 engine). And then the "behemoth" - a 1967 Bonneville with a 455 HO engine (got it in 1976). It was owner by a college dean and only had 30,000 miles on it. Had a "Reverbamatic" stereo and got about 2 miles to the gallon.

I keep it a giant plastic bag in my father's garage.) Back then I had aspirations of becomming a fiction writer. The year after graduation I drifted around Europe with a backpack and a typewriter. Wrote two lousy novels and a ton of short stories. I ended up working as a journalist before I fell into programming.
