>>>< mouth waters > WOW!!!! Send me a picture Jim.... pleeeeeeease. The hubby and I have been restoring a '69 firebird that we rescued from the bone yard almost 4 yrs ago, we should have it on the road in another month or two. Or rather... I'll be running it at the dragstrip alongside Richie's '71 split bumper camaro by June 1st.
>>>
>>>Also, this is gonna blow your mind... you know the famous white '69 firebird T/A convertable you always seen in all the advertisements of the era? In fact it was "the classic picture" of the '69 firebird for everything from tv and magazine ads, to model kits, to dealership posters. Well that vey car came to reside in a museum in TN for many years where my hubby and I seen it 6 or 7 years ago. And supposedly, there were only 8 firebird T/A convertibles made that year. Well that very same car is for sale on ebay motors right now! And the going price is gonna make your hit the floor.
>>>
>>>Granted yours isnt a T/A, but on the pontiac-lovers-circuit, it's still worth a whole lot if that plastic bag in the garage has kept it from aging. At the least you should have an insurance policy on that garage to cover fire/theft/flood.
>>>
>>>Plus we've been noticing a recent jump in pontiac muscle car interest... they are after all a great deal rarer than fords and chevys. Now keep in mind I live in the middle of the biggest classic car show arenas in the whole country (Hershey and Carlisle.... three out of the five annual shows in the USA to pull in a huge international audience). Every year since we got our firebird, we see a substantial increase in prices and demand at these car shows for pontiacs. Muscle cars are becoming "in style" again for the wealthy, and it seems the pontiacs and mopars are at the forefront of demand.
>>
>>The car is in mint condition and all the numbers match. I even still have the original AM radio that came with it, and an eight track under the dash board. I only take it out of the bag during perfect summer days, where I drive down the Seabright/Long Branch strip on the Jersey Shore. Back then I used to "cruise" chicks, now I try not to look to far over the hill, with my wife and babies in the car. BTW, I have a special antique car insurance rate because I barely drive the thing. But that 354 still purrs like a kitten, and if I'm feeling frisky I can lay down a patch 20 feet long!
>
>Mint condition? Wow.. I have to ask - how many miles?
>
>I can remember crusing in my buddies '57 Checy at Newport Beach playing 'Inngadadvita' (sp?) on an eight track. <g>

It has 143,0000 miles on it. Clean as a whistle. The chrome has a few bubbles in it here and there, and the floor plates were replaced because they rusted out, but other than that everything is original.
