Actually, Steve, I'm having the problem with VFP v.3 in Win 3.11. If my client runs the same thing on a Win '95 station, there's no problem. It's interesting you're having the same problem in v. 5 with Win '95. While I'm not expert in OS's, I do believe that Win '95 does use the config.sys, even for Windows products. I'm going to use Colin's advice when I go to my client's office on Friday and see if it helps. I'll post my findings when I return.
