We've been using Citrix MetaFrame for a couple of years without any
real problems. The biggest problem we had was slow screen paints but
citrix has a patch for this that works very well. Also, I believe the
new version of Citrix (MetaFrame XP) incorporates this fix. We have about
200 users on the system with about 50-60 on at any 1 time.
We have 3 citrix servirs & 1 NT file server. Each citrix box can accomodate
about 20 users at a time. The box has dual 500 MHz processors & 500 Meg
of RAM which is rather outdated. With a newer server you could probably
put 30+ users on a box.
