Would this do the trick for you? Set the border style of the commandgroup to 0-None, add a shape around it (I tried Curvature 25 and BackStyle Transparent) and send the shape to the back.

Interesting thing is, you can't have the 3-D look with a curved shape - probably because it's harder to do the dark/lightthing thing that makes it look 3-D.
