Is there any significant value to using CHAR vise VARCHAR when creating the table? I have been told that for speed use char.... I am thinking the added speed will be more than made up for by the added complexity when doing queries and reporting. Please help as I am at the whim of those who appear to the mucky, mucks to have some real world experience. I only ask this question as i have also been commanded to de-normalize my beautiful database....
